March 16, 2021 –
Contact and the Northern Ireland Veterans’ Support Office are co-hosting a free, online conference open to all professionals working in military mental health, as well as those with a role or interest in veterans’ case management.
The half-day conference, Military mental health sector review and case management: Challenges and opportunities, is taking place online on the 16th of March 2021.
The aim of the event is to review recent developments in the military mental health sector, including identifying any challenges and opportunities to address them. Also to share details of (and seek feedback on) the veterans’ mental health information system (VMHIS) proposed by the Cobseo/Contact case management working group and presently being scoped by consultants.
The keynote speeches and first session will have a Northern Ireland focus, as Contact is a collaboration of organisations from all four nations of the UK, and this conference was originally due to take place in Belfast. The second and third sessions will focus on veterans’ mental health and case management in the UK (case management is one of Contact’s priority work areas) and will outline and invite feedback on the proposed veterans’ mental health information system (VMHIS). Veterans and families are also very welcome to attend.
