Defence Medical Welfare Service (DMWS) are looking for a Families in Transition Navigator to work with the military community in Northern Ireland.
This is a fixed-term, two year contract, and will be based in Belfast and Lisburn working 35 hours a week.
DMWS is an international charity that has been providing medical welfare support to the Armed Forces Community for over 76 years. The Families in Transition Navigator will work to support the military community, with a focus on families transitioning out of the services.
Working as part of a team you will be supporting the military community in their transition from military to civilian life. This can be a daunting period as it can be difficult to ask for help if feelings of loneliness escalate. This is also a situation faced by partners of serving personnel, single parent serving personnel or those with challenging family situations. In this role you will be a bridge to help.
You need to be prepared to be mobile and deployable. Additionally, you should be willing to work flexibly to meet job demands. In return, you will be working within a dynamic organisation, making a real difference and receiving great benefits, including 30 days leave (pro rata) plus bank holidays, enhanced sick pay, up to 6% matched pension contributions, death in service benefits, access to Smarthealth with a 24/7 virtual GP Service and great training opportunities.
