There are a number of organisations throughout Mid Ulster District Council area that provide support for Veterans.

Phoenix Group

The Northern Ireland Phoenix Project was established to promote, advocate and address the needs of former security service personnel and their families, who have suffered as a result of the violence perpetrated during the Troubles.

The support the Project can provide includes welfare advice, a befriending service to those who are in need of assistance with hospital visits, or those in need of a bit of company and a listening ear.

Empowerment

Mid Ulster Victims Empowerment program (MUVE) was set up in 2012 by a dedicated group of volunteers in the Mid-Ulster area. MUVE’s main aim is to offer help and support to innocent victims affected by the Troubles. They provide services, advice, and support to individuals, families and groups and run a hen's and men's shed.
