Northern Ireland Veterans' Support Office bid for Veterans’ Places, Pathways and People Programme Portfolio Lead

July 28, 2021

The Northern Ireland Veterans' Support Office is in the process of applying to become Portfolio Lead for the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust Veterans’ Places, Pathways and People Programme in Northern Ireland.

The Portfolio Lead will be a single, non-delivery organisation that will use its knowledge of current provision and needs to work directly with statutory and voluntary organisations to develop accessible services for Veterans.

This role fits well with the existing coordinating and capacity-building function of our organisation, and will enable delivery organisations to concentrate on providing mental health support to Veterans through projects within the portfolio.

As part of our application process, we are holding a series of consultation events to hear directly from Veterans and their families about issues affecting them, and how this programme can be delivered to meet current mental health needs.

We have also developed a simple, anonymous online consultation form, which we invite Veterans and their families to fill in. Your input is so important to us – we really want to make the most of this opportunity to hear directly from you.

You can access the form by clicking here.

Please get in touch if you would like further information on any of the consultation events, or have any further comments on issues raised in the form.
